Now are in our forth year of homeschooling (pre-k thru 2nd), and I can't even begin to express how fortunate I feel about the people I have met, both in person and thru blogs online and am just so thankful for the support and opportunities that we have happened on to. I became involved with a yahoo group called BitsofGoodness, which gave us the chance to see crafting and creating our own natural toys in a whole new way! And then, again thanks to a blog, I happened on to this amazing magazine LivingCraft and actually got to be part of a group of ladies from all over the world who made ornaments, swapped them and were part of an article in the magazine. Unfortunately, mine was not included due to some issues with Canadian customs (they lost ALL of my ornaments! and had to be remade gasp!!) but I was still part of the swap and have continued to be for the next two years.... It has been such a fun holiday tradition to make ornaments for the this group of ladies and to received some amazing creations from them too!!
This blogging world has been such a big blessing to my life that I would like to send out some goodness from my blog too! :) I still have an extra issue from the magazine that the original article was in and I made extras of the ornaments I sent out to my swap partner this year. So go enter for a chance to win either a magazine or my two little creations. you have the option of having them with or without a hanger so you can use them for an ornament or for play on a nature table! :)

Oh i messed up and didnt see the directions until after i commented lol. blame it on the new widget design lol. I'd like to see more peg dolls that can go w/ storybooks... like the piggies you did, and little red riding hood. can you make a bat? or some Wild Things?

I love to hear stories of how blogging opens up the greater world to other women, too! How wonderful to discover a real 'community' when one is doing something 'regionally countercultural'!! Oh, how I wish there was something like this when I was a young Mama. (Thank goodness for La Leche League...our only connection with like-minded mothers back then!!)
